Academia de Bachata partnered with HBO Max on a sold out bachata musicality workshop for children and parents in New York's Washington Heights.
HBO celebrated the launching of Romeo Santos' film "King of Bachata" with House of Bachata, a pop-up cultural center in Washington Heights. Academia professors Martires de Leon and Abel Mendez teamed up with HBO's Jessica Vargas and Areito Arts' Edwin Ferreras to lead a sold out bachata music and dance workshop for neighborhood children and their parents. Academia director Benjamin de Menil helped to curate the House of Bachata's exhibition of bachata memorabilia.
