Latin Star Manuel Turizo Visits Bachata Academy!

On June 9, Grammy-nominated Colombian singer and songwriter Manuel Turizo visited the Bachata Academy in Cabarete. During the visit, Turizo offered advice to the Academy’s children and youth, encouraging them to work hard and pursue their dreams. In an afternoon full of music and excitement, Academy students serenaded Manuel with bachata classics, and then surprised him with a performance of two of his hits: “La Bachata” and “Bésame”. Turizo was moved to join the Academy band, trading verses with our singers.

“Turizo’s visit encourages us to fight to be professionals. He is an example for us to follow. And we hope to one day also serve as examples for future musicians.”
